In the most recent episode of the Missionary Mobilization Podcast, David P. Jacob interviews Jordy Nuñez who speaks about his call to missions. https://gospelmobilization.org/podcast/2020/6/5/what-mobilized-you-with-jordy-nuez
Well worth a listen to: 1) explore ways in which God initially calls us to involvement in world missions and then builds and renews that call over time; and, 2) learn more about the plans of Jordy and his family (Elizabeth and Emilia) to open a coffeehouse in Tallinn, Estonia as a vehicle for building relationships and facilitating the work of a church planting team in that city.
Among other parts of the podcast which were both encouraging and challenging, I found this definition of “missional intentionality” to be intriguing – “motivating (ourselves) to help kindle the fire of missions to keep the call in the forefront of (our) minds” by 1) having conversations with missionaries, 2) reading missionary biographies, 3) listening to missions-related podcasts, etc.
When you listen to the podcast, you’ll hear Jordy speak more than once of conversations he had with missionaries and how that helped to motivate him and refine his understanding of God’s call.
As I said, well worth a listen! And check out the comments for more information on the Nuñez family and their mission to Estonia!
