Lord, my journey in life will not be complete until I stand among the multitudes that surround your throne, worshiping you in the midst of people from every tongue and every tribe and every nation (Africans, Arabs, Asians, Europeans, Hispanics, Jews, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, etc).
I love the magnificent diversity of your creation.
But I want to love it more.
How can I be fearful of those you have purchased with your blood?
How can I be hesitant and afraid that I will say the wrong thing when I’m speaking in the presence of my brothers and sisters, no matter what the color of their skin?
How can I be comfortable while the people who surround me do not reflect the diversity of your creation?
Lord, may your will be done on earth (in my life) as it is in heaven.
May the makeup of my personal community reflect the diversity of the assembly around your throne.
